It had been many years since I had tried my hand at collage but when our local Art Talk Group decided to have a different theme for each meeting I decided this would be fun way to capture Autumn for this months theme.

I had the best time ripping apart old magazines ...

Sing along to the song Autumn Leaves sung by Eva Cassidy:

The falling leaves drift by my window
The falling leaves of red and gold
I see your lips the summer kisses
The sunburned hands I used to hold

Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

  2. Lovely! I had forgotten that song - it was my favourite from her Songbird CD.

  3. Love this little canvas! And I LOVE Eva. She had the voice of an angel! This song is one of my favorites to hear her sing... I swear I always get choked up when I hear it.

  4. Thanks you all so much ... Maria, Angela and Nancy. I find collage is addictive, once I start I hate to quit. Be prepared there may be more coming. *grin.

  5. Best to call something done with this much panache "mixed media". Beautiful!

I agree with Celeste. This cute painting is a mixed media one.
I myself tried my hands on acrylic and mixed media paintings to create whimsical girls and queens.
