Completed - Autumn Leaves

Autumn Leaves - Nancy Van Blaricom

Autumn Leaves

For once I felt that I knew when to stop. I could have kept working on it by adding more color here or there, but I didn't ... and I'm so glad I stopped when I did. The colors are bright and vibrant just as I had wanted. Then, when I was happy with my colors, I added some water soluble metallic splatters and I think it adds to how I wanted to depict fall.

  2. Oh Nancy it is wonderful.
I love how you came out of the frame. I haven't done that in quite some time. The colors are awesome.

  3. Nancy--

You did a very nice job on this piece. Sometimes it's tough to stop. Coming off the frame is a neat effect. Everything turned out nicely.

  4. These are beautiful, Nanacy - I love the way they pop out of their frame. The colors are perfect - it's true that the hardest thing about making art sometimes is to know when to stop - you got it just right.

  6. Thank you Lin, Joe, Toni, Terry, Casey and Robin. It was fun to paint ... now I'm thinking Christmas cards along those same lines ... Trees sticking out of the frame. We'll see ... I always have great ideas and don't always follow through. *wink

  8. Thank you Ronell, the leaves around here really got a work-out today. We had wind, rain and hail. Doubt they are able to hang on much longer.
