Calm Reflection

Calm Reflection 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" SOLD

Although this photo doesn't do it justice, it was a beautiful calm, peaceful morning, with the sun starting to shine brightly. The only thing stirring was us and a few great blue herons. When I looked at the water in front of me, I noticed a mirror reflection of the trees on the shoreline.

Calm Reflection is painted on 140lb. Arches cold press watercolor paper. Again, I left a 1" white border around the painting.

  2. That looks like a nice place to be in the morning. =) I like the water on this one. I hope that Great Blue Herons are better models for you than they are for me. About the time I try to sketch them or take their picture they always decide to fly off squawking at the top of their lungs.
