Mountain Brook

SOLD
Title: Mountain Brook
Size: 12" x 16"
Watercolor on 300 lb paper

In the coming year I hope to do more outdoor ... landscape paintings. Although I've done some Plein Air I don't do them often enough, so possibly another goal for the year will be Plein Air and landscapes. This painting was NOT done plein air, but it makes me feel as if I'm there.

  2. wow! This is really breathtaking! I love that you can add so many colors here, and they still retain the look and feel of rocks. Beautiful work :)

  3. Gee whiz! The water is amazing! Can you tell a little about how you did it? Did you leave the areas free of color and it's the paper shining through or is it paint? Enquiring minds want to know...

  4. Thanks ladies. Hard to focus these day's ... I'm having such a hard time being and Artist these days. I want to paint, but seem to let myself get easily distracted. Hopefully this will pass soon, huh?

  5. This is terrific! You really handled the rocks and water well.

I also want to do plein air painting this coming spring, summer and fall. After what has started as a brutal winter, I want to be outside.
